A very tranquil scene. Wonderful picture.
Jacquelyn Ann: Thanks Frances... I thought it was funny that in such a setting you'd see the bench chained.
Great composition! Love how it is so quiet! Love the colors! Excellent capture! wink
Jacquelyn Ann: Many thanks Sue... I liked the chipping of the blue paint on the bench... and I thought the tree and it's roots looked like it was a dinosaur leg and foot. lol
... As I would love to be! smile Great shot! Before I read your reply to Sue- I was thinking it looked like a big birds foot!
Jacquelyn Ann: Thanks Elizabeth... I'd love to live in the nature of your Arizona plateau...
Yeah the tree here was so large and odd shaped it looked more like a dino.

Love your title good photo
Jacquelyn Ann: Thanks Vintage... I didn't see the chain until I opened it on my computer though. Then the title just came to me.
Now that is a a lovely lovely bench J' ...and it's far far better than the one Chris Phillips is ranting on about [grin]
Jacquelyn Ann: Thank-u thank-u R' ... lol ...
I checked CP's archives & I do believe u mean the famous funny red bench shot. : )
The bench looks as weather worn as the tree, well spotted Jacquelyn.
Jacquelyn Ann: Thanks Les... This bench is on a walk/drive through... in a large park by the river that runs through the city. It's very secluded at this spot in the forest. You have to make the effort to go past this tree and bench.
Nice bench. I guess if it wasn't chained up it wouldn't stay there very long.
Jacquelyn Ann: That's probably true Brian... It's really an old bench though. I liked the beast of a tree it sat beside too. Thanks Brian.
Unfortunate that it needs to be chained, Jacquelyn, but I guess in today's society it is necessary fact of life.

You don't see many benches painted in such a fun colour as this one. Great shot!
Jacquelyn Ann: This is in a more sheltered part of the forest but you can still drive by so any person with a pickup truck could stop and take it home... The bench is an old one and I too liked the weathered peeling blue paint. Thanks Beverly.
I see no reason to chain that bench Jacquelyn....it is older than dirt.... but the tree next to it is beautiful and it looks over a hundred years old and hanging on to dear life....petersmile
Jacquelyn Ann: Hi Peter... For some reason the blue colour of the old bench intrigued me... the tree is majestic and doing just fine... I guess it's roots are so deep.
